Początki Polskiego Czerwonego Krzyża
18 stycznia w 1919 roku, po odzyskaniu przez Polskę niepodległości, powstało Polskie Towarzystwo Czerwonego Krzyża. W tym samym roku, zostało uznane przez Międzynarodowy Komitet Czerwonego Krzyża i przystąpiło do Międzynarodowej Federacji Stowarzyszeń Czerwonego Krzyża i Czerwonego Półksiężyca. W 1927 roku Towarzystwo zmieniło nazwę na Polski Czerwony Krzyż, pod która funkcjonuje do dnia dzisiejszego.
Od początku swojego istnienia PCK prowadził różnorodną działalność w dziedzinie ochrony zdrowia, pomocy socjalnej i medycznej, a także pracę wychowawczą z młodzieżą. Wyszkolił dziesiątki tysięcy sióstr PCK, pielęgniarek, ratowników, którzy udzielali pomocy zarówno w czasie działań wojennych, jak i w czasie pokoju. Jeszcze przed drugą wojną światową odegrał pionierską rolę w rozwijaniu krwiodawstwa w Polsce.
W czasie drugiej wojny światowej był jedną z nielicznych organizacji, która nie została zdelegalizowana przez Niemców. Szczególne znaczenie miało wówczas działanie istniejącego do dzisiaj Biura Informacji i Poszukiwań, które zajmowało się ustalaniem losów, poszukiwaniem zaginionych i ewidencją strat wojennych.
Po zakończeniu wojny podjął wysiłki, z których najważniejszym było niesienie pomocy poszkodowanym przez działania wojenne i łączenie rodzin. PCK uzyskał znaczną pomoc humanitarną dla społeczeństwa polskiego od innych organizacji czerwonokrzyskich. Dotyczy to zwłaszcza czasu po zakończeniu obu wojen światowych, ale także okresu stanu wojennego, gdy pomoc otrzymało ponad półtora miliona osób, w tym internowani i ich rodziny oraz liczne zakłady służby zdrowia.
Międzynarodowy Ruchu Czerwonego Krzyża i Czerwonego Półksiężyca składa się obecnie ze 188 stowarzyszeń krajowych Czerwonego Krzyża i Czerwonego Półksiężyca (w tym PCK), Międzynarodowej Federacji Stowarzyszeń Czerwonego Krzyża i Czerwonego Półksiężyca (z siedzibą w Genewie) oraz Międzynarodowego Komitetu Czerwonego Krzyża (mający siedzibę również w Genewie w Szwajcarii).
Dziś do najważniejszych wyzwań Polskiego Czerwonego Krzyża należy zapewnienie kompleksowej pomocy potrzebującym dzieciom, promowanie idei honorowego krwiodawstwa, nauka pierwszej pomocy i promocja zdrowia, a także budowanie sprawnego systemu ratownictwa i reagowanie w sytuacji klęsk i katastrof.
Cele i zadania szkolnego koła wolontariatu w Zespole Szkół nr 2 w Hrubieszowie
Celem działalności Szkolnego Koła Wolontariatu jest aktywizacja środowiska szkolnego w duchu humanitaryzmu i niesienia pomocy potrzebującym.
Cel ten jest realizowany poprzez następujące zadania:
• Pomoc potrzebującym uczniom
• Promowanie idei humanitaryzmu i bezinteresownej pracy na rzecz drugiego człowieka
• Działania na rzecz poprawy bezpieczeństwa poprzez edukację młodzieży w zakresie pierwszej pomocy przedmedycznej i profilaktyki zdrowotnej
• Kształtowanie postaw brania odpowiedzialności za najbliższe otoczenie
• Stwarzanie dogodnych warunków do rozwijania umiejętności i samorealizacji młodzieży

Kinga została doceniona przez organizatorów Ogólnopolskiego Projektu „Matura na 100%” – krakowską fundację „Zawsze Warto” oraz Centralną Komisję Egzaminacyjną.

Srebro i brąz na zawodach wojewódzkich podczas Festiwalu Sztafet
15 czerwca 2023 roku w Lublinie odbył się Wojewódzki Finał Licealiady w Festiwalu Sztafet. Znakomicie zaprezentowali się uczniowie I Liceum Ogólnokształcącego im. ks. Stanisława Staszica w Hrubieszowie zajmując miejsca na podium! Gratulacje!!!
