W dniach 4 października 2013 r. gimnazjaliści z klas II c, III a, III b, III c i III d wzięli udział w akcji charytatywnej „PEŁNY TORNISTER” organizowanej przez Stowarzyszenie Edukacyjne „Razem” pod patronatem medialnym Radia Lublin.

Departament Promocji i Wspierania Innowacyjności w Urzędzie Patentowym Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej skierował do Kingi Panasiewicz list z podziękowaniami za udział w charakterze wykładowcy podczas spotkania dla dzieci i młodzieży szkół podstawowych w ramach XVII Festiwalu Nauki: (…) Fascynujące wystąpienie stało się inspiracją i zachętą dla innych uczniów do odkrywania tajemnic nauki. Pasja i pomysłowość młodych naukowców budzą podziw i są kapitałem naszego kraju na przyszłość. List zakończyły (…) życzenia dalszych sukcesów oraz wytrwałości w rozwijaniu zainteresowań.
Niecodzienna szansa dla nieprzeciętnie zdolnych
Kinga Panasiewicz została przyjęta do grona stypendystów Krajowego Funduszu na rzecz Dzieci w roku szkolnym 2013/14. Zarząd oraz Komisja Stypendialna Funduszu przesyłają serdeczne gratulacje dla Kingi , Jej Rodziców i Nauczycieli.
Dzień edukacji narodowej w Staszicu
„Żeby innych zapalać, samemu trzeba płonąć” – takie motto przyświecało dzisiejszemu spotkaniu uczniów, grona pedagogicznego i pracowników administracji oraz zaproszonych gości. Dzień Edukacji Narodowej jest okazją do przemyśleń na temat procesów edukacyjnych, historii szkolnictwa, służy także wspomnieniom oraz rozważaniom na temat dzisiejszej szkoły. Spotkanie poprowadziła pani dyrektor Alicja Borkowska, która przyjęła życzenia od przewodniczącej Rady Rodziców, pani Beaty Tomaszczuk a także Samorządu Uczniowskiego reprezentowanego przez przewodniczącą Annę Polikowską oraz zastępców Weronikę Tomaszczuk i Szymona Kwiatkowskiego.
Absolwentki STASZICA na Gali TOTUS 2013 w Warszawie
W niedzielę, 13 października odbyła się w Warszawie Gala TOTUS 2013 zorganizowana przez Fundację „Dzieło Nowego Tysiąclecia” we współpracy z Telewizją Polską. W czasie uroczystego koncertu (transmitowanego w TVP2 i TVP Polonia) zaprezentowano sylwetki ludzi szczególnie zasłużonych dla idei niesienia pomocy potrzebującym oraz przedstawiono stypendystów - niezwykle uzdolnionych młodych ludzi pochodzących z niezamożnych rodzin w małych miejscowościach.
Powiatowa licealiada w lidze LA – dziewcząt
4 pażdziernika 2013r. na stadionie HOSiR w Hrubieszowie odbyła się Powiatowa Licealiada w Lidze LA.
Dziewczęta z Zespołu Szkół Nr. 2 w Hrubieszowie zajęły II miejsce z wynikiem 892 pkt. Będą reprezentować nasz powiat na zawodach rejonowych, które odbędą się października 18 pażdziernika 2013 r. w Hrubieszowie.

W dniu 23.09.2013r. uczniowie klasy I c o rozszerzeniu matematyczno- geograficznym wraz z opiekunem- P. Prof. Agnieszką Umer brali udział w akcji ,,Sprzątanie świata”. Tereny, które zostały posprzątane to ulice: Krucza, Ludna, Gęsia oraz Szewska.
